Precautions about Washing Hair after Surgery

Precautions about
Washing Hair after Surgery

  • Please use body-temperature water with very low water pressure.
  • For strip surgery (FUT) patients, tilt your head back when shampooing to avoid tension on the sutured area.
  • Do not rub the transplanted area for 2 weeks. After applying the recommended bubble shampoo, leave it on for 2–3 minutes before rinsing. You may wash your hair normally after 2 weeks.
  • You may wash the donor area as usual (for both FUE and FUT patients).
  • Do not use a hair dryer on the transplanted area. Gently tap the area with a towel. If you must use a dryer, use only cold air.
  • After the donor area is completely dry, apply a thin layer of ointment. (Do not apply ointment to the recipient area.)

※ If you purchased bubble shampoo and tonic spray:

  • Use the bubble shampoo on the recipient area(s) for up to 2 weeks.
  • Apply the tonic spray generously on the recipient area for the first 2–3 days to prevent dryness.
